I think I can relax. Sit under the window and feel the breeze. Put a fan in front of my face and busily complete proofs. Talk to my friends in the evening. Try and be healthy again-- all I've been eating is ice cream, and I haven't done anything resembling a sport for around a month. My cousin said:
But the beauty of the game is that the only thing you need is a ball; wall not included (or necessary).
If you're brave, just practice keeping the ball up with your feet (keepie uppie as the Brits call it). You start with kicking it back to yourself, your hands, one time. Then proceed to get two "touches" before kicking it back to yourself. Use your knees also. One summer was all it took for me to learn how to juggle, and I had a sprained ankle. Before that I knew how to pass just not how to dribble or receive well. Three months I went from not being able to reach 10 to being able to get 40 regularly... and I play defense/goalie. Not impossible, just takes time (like all great things).I say you need courage to do it because for the first week or two you feel kind of foolish doing it. But it's a skill you can teach yourself.
