Okay, so I'm trying to make some vegetarian chili. Here are the steps that I've taken to achieve this:
1. I dumped a lot of kidney beans, black beans, and garbanzo beans in a pot last night with water and left them to soak it up, since they were hard and hard beans are no good :P
2. Today, I chopped 1 red pepper and 2 green peppers into small chunks. My mom chopped half a large onion and some mushrooms for me. We put them in a pan with some olive oil and let it simmer, stirring it occasionally.
3. We then transferred these things to a large pot and dumped in some oregano, 2 bay leaves, cumin and salt. Then we let the pot simmer for a while.
4. A few minutes later, we took out spicy paprika and sweet paprika and dumped shitloads in the pot. Stirred that in and then dump some crushed, peeled, tomatoes in.
5. Apply the beans!
6. After letting that simmer for about 45 minutes, put in some corn and EAT.
And there you go. But I haven't tasted it yet so it might be nasty ;)
